Zinga (prawns,Shrimp) Fry

My husband loves prawns. He makes this very nicely as its very easy, fast and tasty I guess. Let me know how you find it.

Ingredients:
One packet of dry prawns ( I used 5 OZ)
One medium size onion.

Oil 1 tb. spoon
Ginger paste 1 tb. spoon
Garlic paste 1 tb. spoon
Tamarind juice 1 tb. spoon (optional)
Red chilly powder 1/2 tb. spoon (adjust as per taste)
Garam masala 1/2 tb. spoon
1 small chopped Tomato
chopped coriander to garnish

Preparation:
1. Soak prawns in water and thoroughly rinse under water 4-5 times.
2. Marinate prawns with little red chilly powder, ginger-garlic paste, Tamarind juice (optional) for 15 min.
3. Boil marinated prawns in little water (just till they get dipped)for 5 min. prawns get cooked fast. let little water remain after cooking.
3. Take thick non-stick flat pan (Tawa). Add oil and stir-fry chopped onions till they turn golden brown.
4. Add chopped tomato.
5. Add ginger-garlic paste, red chilly powder, garam masala and salt to taste.
6. Add cooked prawns with little water left after boiling. Let it cook till it evaporates all the water. This little water will help it cook completely, retains little moisture and avoid from getting burnt.
7. Garnish with chopped coriander......Dish is done.

Enjoy with rice and chapati.
